Often times, canned fruits receive a bad reputation for being unhealthy.  When trying to stick to a budget, however, they may be the best option. The great news is that there are creative ways to add canned fruits to your new healthy eating habits.

Here’s what you need to know:

01 Look for cans that do not use BPA in its packaging.

02 Look for canned fruits that are either packed in water or its own juices

03 If syrup is the only option available:

    • Choose light syrup options
    • Drain the fruit of the syrup
    • Rinse fruit really well with cold water
    • Enjoy!
