How are you doing? What can I do for you? Have I told you lately that I love you?

If you’ve ever had a friend, family member, or loved one, these questions probably sound familiar. In all likelihood, the more you ask them, the better your relationships are. These questions are supportive and loving. They show you care. If you asked these questions more often, your chances of growing old together would probably increase.

Now, when is the last time you directed these questions towards your own body?

And when is the last time you made yourself a nourishing meal, took a moment to reflect on how your feeling, or took a long and fulfilling walk?  The key to success is asking specific questions and following up.

Think: what would my Health Advisor say?

How did that walk make you feel? Good? Energized? Okay, let’s do it again tomorrow.

How did eating the whole box of cookies make you feel? Gross? Bloated? Okay, let’s stop keeping those in the house.

When you neglect a relationship, there is an inevitable loss.

Your health is the most important relationship in your life because when it declines, you lose pieces of yourself. You can lose your abilities, your interests, even your excitement for life. But what if you took the time to take care of your body? As that relationship improves, you can get those pieces back.

Make it a habit to show your body love and care.

Together you can live a long and healthy life.
