Did you know that approximately 50% of people with chronic conditions don’t take their medications as prescribed?

Experts suggest that increasing the effectiveness of adherence interventions may have a far greater impact on the health of the population than any improvement in specific medical treatments so why haven’t we solved this basic problem of people not taking their meds?

Some stop taking their medicine because they feel like their symptoms are under control, others because the side effects make them feel worse. Sometimes it’s too much of a hassle- it’s inconvenient, it’s expensive, it’s a chore. Other times, people just forget.

These are all barriers we can tackle.

  • We help our members ask the right questions of their doctor, to make sure they understand why they’re taking certain medications, and feel empowered to speak up when something feels unnecessary or harmful.
  • We help members set adherence triggers like putting their meds in front of their toothbrush so they’re reminded to take them as a part of their morning routine.
  • We provide a laminated medication chart, for members to keep track of what they’re taking and check things off.
  • We partner with services such as PillPack, which organizes everything in advance and removes the inconvenience of having to go refill prescriptions by delivering medications right to our members.

Why do we provide this support?

Because it’s one of the easiest ways to help our members feel better. With a better understanding of what you’re taking and why, and a better system for keeping track of it all, managing medications can be simple.
